Chemistry is on the lookout for a Design Intern!‍

We are offering  3–6 month long internships for those local to Singapore, where you’ll be expected to work for our Singapore office. These internships are for you to learn as much as possible about the work we do, the way we work, our processes and knowledge, and perhaps for us to learn from you too.

Who we’re looking for

Are you passionate about Design and wish you could push its boundaries? Are you brimming over with fresh perspectives and new ideas to make a difference in the world?

If you've got a knack for Design and are interested in User Experience, User Interface, Sustainability, Circularity, and Human-Centred Design, you might be the one we want!

We're on the lookout for a Hermione Granger type who is eager to learn and can't help but pay close attention to the details, with an intuition for restraint and practical application. Someone with the anything-is-possible attitude of Avatar Aang, who isn't afraid to take on new challenges, speak up, poke holes, or ask for help when needed.

What you'll get busy with

• Work with the team through design stages — providing support in user research, strategic development, and final recommendations
• Provide support in creating concept visuals, infographics, wireframes, sketches, storyboards, user flows, and more to communicate design ideas.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with fellow designers.
• Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers while supporting designers with clients/stakeholders.
• Support strategic design projects in conducting field research and sense-making of research data to translate them into insights.

Requirements

Ideally you will have just, or are completing, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a design related subject, and you have some experience or interest in:

• Customer Experience Design/Service Design
• Human Centred Design
• UX/UI Design
• Circularity/Sustainability
• Engaging with people across a variety of service touchpoints, including physical spaces, digital interaction as well as processes and policies
• Conducting qualitative research, synthesis of a variety of data points and the ability to craft clear and impactful strategic opportunities

Internship Allowance

SGD800 per month, exempted from Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions.

The internship position is only open to Singaporeans or students with a valid work pass in Singapore
