How might we envision the future of payments from a user-centric perspective?
Solution
Chemistry assisted product teams in research, synthesis and ideation for new payment solutions with issuers and merchants, creating a comprehensive Consumer Playbook for the entire Asian region.

Background

Chemistry has been working with Visa across the globe on a wide variety of initiatives and projects since 2014. We worked intensively to support consumer and commercial product teams to envision the future of payments from a user-centric perspective.

What We Did

Our work included research into both consumer and commercial needs and challenges, facilitation of co-creation sessions with major issuers. In addition we designed and delivered a bespoke training in Design Thinking.

Impact

Throughout the Design Thinking process, the team assisted product teams in the research, synthesis and ideation for new payment solutions, working with issuers and merchants.

We created a comprehensive Consumer Playbook for the entire Asian region, and enjoyed engaging Visa teams from across 14 countries, bringing over 600 Visa staff through our Design Thinking programme, starting with the entire APAC region and extending to Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Americas.

The programme is now embedded in Visa University through our Train the Trainer manual.
