The portable ultrasound device will improve early diagnosis of maternal health for mothers who need it most.
This is a great example of a solution that is fit for purpose, designed from the ground up to meet the MedTech needs of developing countries across the globe.
The jury citation for the award said it best with: “This project is a masterclass in human centred research, user interface design, and system integration. It brings critical healthcare to those who need it most. It is, above all else, a timely example of how a thoughtful and empathetic professional design can humanise a highly technical product and process.”
